BICA-2025 in Puerto Vallarta

Important Dates.

For BICA, a multiple-round submission model is used, meaning that there is no one submission deadline for all authors. Instead, there is a sequence of submission rounds, each with its own set of important dates, including:

- Initial paper submission deadline,

- Decision notification date,

- Springer camera-ready or CSR journal submission date,

-Accepted author registration deadline.

Each new round is announced when the previous-round initial deadline expires. Announcement of a new round is not guaranteed: any round may become the last, without an advance notification. To learn about a new round, you will need to check this page for changes when the deadline expires. The current set of rounds and important dates for them is listed below.

  • First Round:
- Initial paper submission deadline: April 17

- Notification date: May 5

- Springer camera-ready or CSR journal submission: May 30

- Accepted author registration deadline: June 2
  • Second Round:
- Initial paper submission deadline: May 30

- Notification date: June 15

- Springer camera-ready or CSR journal submission: July 1

- Accepted author registration deadline: July 2

Authors are free to select any rounds for their submissions. The number of submissions per author is not limited; however, each paper must be covered by a separate registration. The Early-Bird Registration deadline is one and the same for all rounds and will be announced later.

Registration Fees for Virtual and On-Site Participation

For virtual participation:

  • $250 Early-Bird
  • $350 Regular

For on-site (face-to-face) participation:

  • $450 Early-Bird
  • $550 Regular
  • $150 Guest

Other fees:

  • $50 Extra Page Fee – per page in excess of 8 pages for Springer papers only
  • $35 Tour on site
  • $50 Regular 1-year BICA Society Membership for non-participants
  • $35 Affiliate 1-year BICA Society Membership for non-participants
  • $25 Student 1-year BICA Society Membership for non-participants
This year’s BICA*AI will be held as a hybrid conference from 6-10 August 2025,  which will take place at the CUCOSTA campus of the University of Guadalajara.
 
To submit your original works for the BICA-2025 hybrid conference, please follow the link to the Easy Chair website (https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=bica2025).                     
Papers may be published in either Springer Studies in Computational Intelligence (SCI) and some will be recommended for submission to Elsevier Cognitive Systems Research (CSR).

Papers must be at least 4 pages. Optimal lenght is from 6 to 8 pages including references. Papers longer than 8 pages will be subject to an extra page fee.
